CASEY O’NEILL
Casey O’Neill is an associate at Aubrey Thrasher, focusing her practice on creditors’ rights and related commercial litigation matters. She represents lenders such as fintech companies, credit unions, and banks in recovering funds, enforcing loan obligations, and resolving bankruptcy-related disputes. She also helps our clients structure financial product agreements to fit their business needs and assists with post-litigation matters to ensure compliance and practical outcomes.
In previous roles, Casey gained experience in bankruptcy law, corporate tax, and privacy matters, giving her a broad perspective on complex financial and regulatory issues. While in law school, she worked with the United States Bankruptcy Court, where she gained firsthand insight into federal and state court processes and litigation strategy.
Casey earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Georgia.
EMILIE JOHNSON
Emilie is an experienced litigator with a background as a Deputy District Attorney, where she gained significant courtroom experience and developed strong advocacy skills. She has chaired eight jury trials to verdict and argued over 100 pre-trial motions.
Based in San Diego, Emilie focuses on California litigation, representing creditors in both uncontested matters and contested issues such as discovery disputes, motion practice, and post-judgment litigation. She manages a high volume of cases efficiently while maintaining a strategic approach to more complex disputes. Emilie stays current on changes in California law, including recent amendments to the Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and incorporates those developments into her litigation strategy.
